Mamma Mia Book Tag❤🎤

Hi bookworms!

I came across the Mamma Mia book tag, created by Ashley from ashleyoutpaged. Here’s the link to her video, please go watch it, it’s awesome. I saw Mamma Mia 2 about a week ago and I LOVED IT, so I figured this would be the perfect book tag for me to do!

1. When I kissed the teacher ~ name a book with a shocking plot twist

I’m really bad at remembering book plots and especially book endings, however, there is one book that instantly comes to my mind when thinking about plot twists. That book is Our Endless Numbered Days by Claire Fuller. This is a book that not many people have read, but I thought it was amazing. The plot is very interesting and, as you might’ve guessed, there was a huge plot twist that I did not see coming😱 (I won’t say what it is, because I wouldn’t want to give you any spoilers…).

2. Waterloo ~ name a book you’re positive you’ll be in love with

I just finished History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera a few days ago and I LOVED IT. Therefore, I’m absolutely sure I’ll love his other book They Both Die At the End just as much. Adam Silvera’s characters are so interesting and well-developed and the plot was both beautiful and heartbreaking and ahuihfiuwehfi. I can’t wait to have my heart broken again by one of Adam Silvera’s books😍😭.

3. Why did it have to be me ~ name a book you went to to get over a reading slump

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a really bad reading slump, but I do sometimes have trouble picking up another book after reading a particularly good or long and difficult book. This happened after reading The Disappearances by Emily Bain Murphy. I did enjoy this book, but it took me SO LONG to finish it. So after that, I decided to pick up an easier read. I chose Seven Days of You by Cecilia Vinesse, which turned out to be a great choice. I ended up loving this book and it definitely got me out of my mini reading slump😄.

4. I have a dream ~ name a book character that inspires you

This is quite a hard question for me, but I think I’ll go with Feyre from the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas. She’s by not my favourite character ever or anything, however, I love the fact that she’s so artistic and that she paints so much💕. Feyre definitely inspires me to draw and paint more myself, which is something I love doing, but don’t really do ”enough”.

5. Andante andante ~ name your current read

Eh, well, I’m currently reading four books (oops😅), but there are two books that I’m ”actively” reading. The first of which is Skylarks by Karen Gregory, this is a book about two girls who fall in love. It’s adorable so far (I’m almost halfway through). The second book is De historie van mejuffrouw Sara Burgerhart by Betje Wolff and Aagje Deken. This is a Dutch literature book that I’m reading for school. It’s an 18th century novel, written by two women. It was also the first ever Dutch novel to be published, which, together with the fact that it was written by women, is quite revolutionary. I’m actually quite enjoying this book, even though the language is a little weird (since it’s old). It’s a novel written in letters, which makes the book very interesting😊.

6. Knowing me, knowing you ~ name a book you had to break up with and dnf

If you’re unfamiliar with the term dnf, it means ‘did not finish’. I don’t dnf books that often, but there are a few books that I just couldn’t finish. One of these books is Paper Towns by John Green *gasps*. I’m actually not sure why I didn’t finish this book, I think I only had about 50 pages left, but for some reason I just never finished it… I am thinking of rereading (and finishing) this book, since I enjoyed most of John Green’s other books.

7. Mamma Mia ~ name a book you recently read again

Last summer, we listened to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (the Dutch version) in the car on our way to our holiday destination (and on our way back). Since we had to sit in the car A LOT, we were able to finish the book in time easily. I think I’d only read this book in the series one or two times, so it was lovely to read it again. This isn’t my favourite of the series, but I still loved it a lot.

8. Dancing Queen ~ name a book that made you want to dance around the room

The first book that comes to mind is Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi. This book made me so incredibly happy, since I got to see all my favourite characters again. This book made me feel so many emotions and, though the original trilogy (esp. book three) remains my fave, I LOVED THIS BOOK😍😍.

9. Super trouper ~ name a series you haven’t finished due to it’s intimidating size

I think I’ll go with Cassandra Clare’s series for this one. As you might know, she has written a ton of books. I’ve read the first three books of The Mortal Instruments and I’ve read the first book of The Infernal Devices. I do plan on reading more of her books, since I quite enjoyed the books that I’ve read by her (though they weren’t the greatest books ever), however, I’m not sure whether I’ll read all of her books, because: So many books so little time😭.

That was the Mamma Mia book tag! I hope you enjoyed it, I certainly loved writing this post (and I had an excuse to listen to all the songs for the thousandth time😊). Feel free to do this tag yourself, but make sure to tag the creator in your blog post/video.

Have a lovely day, Hanna❤
